Growing in to Grown Up

Nashville Ink | August 18, 2009

I was talking with two of my co-worker friends today and one of them noticed my tattoo for the first time. I normally do a pretty good job of covering it up at work, but I had backless shoes on and was sitting with my legs crossed at just the right angle where the inside of my heel was exposed.

He was like “Is that a tattoo?!?! I would have never guessed you’d have one!” and then proceeded to ask the other girl if she had any. The conversation turned  around to asking him if he had any tattoos and he pointed to just below the crook on the inside of his left elbow. He kinda laughed and said he had a black line that’s about a half of a centimeter right there.  He went on to explain that as a freshman in high school he and his friends found themselves unsupervised and near a tattoo needle. He wanted to see if 1.) it worked and if 2.) it hurt. Both answers were yes.

Yep. We would have been friends in high school.

About author

These are the tales of a twenty-something caught somewhere in between adolescence and adulthood. Mostly filled with trivial stories about days in the life... and the humor that can be found in the little things. Read. Enjoy. Relate. Comment.
