Growing in to Grown Up

Oops | June 20, 2009

I got a new cell phone and it has a touch screen and I’m not very good at working it. It’s caused me to accidentally dial the first person in my contact list repeatedly and send reply texts to the wrong people etc. but hasn’t caused any real damage.

OnĀ  a separate note, I’ll admit it: I love Lifetime Original Movies. I also just started to get Lifetime Movie Network (LMN) for free. When I’m particularly exhausted and don’t feel like going out, I’ll stay home on a Saturday night, make some popcorn and indulge in my guilty Lifetime pleasure. My college roommate shares my love of all things Lifetime and we’ll text each other during particularly cheesy movies. Tonight was no exception.

Around 9:45 tonight (yes, a Saturday) I sent her the following message: “OMG. Please tell me you’re watching ‘My Stepson, My Lover’ on LMN. Only Lifetime…haha.”

Shortly thereafter, I got a reply from a guy I have only met twice with a bunch of question marks and a “No, but I’ll try to catch it some other night.” Mortified, I looked back at my texts & realized I must have scrolled to the next contact in my list when sending her that message. GAH! Well, at least he had a good sense of humor about it. But I’m still totally embarrassed.

About author

These are the tales of a twenty-something caught somewhere in between adolescence and adulthood. Mostly filled with trivial stories about days in the life... and the humor that can be found in the little things. Read. Enjoy. Relate. Comment.
